What are aligners?
Aligners are clear, plastic trays that fit over your teeth. They’re like invisible braces that help move your teeth into the right place over time.
How do aligners work?
Aligners work by gently pushing your teeth into the right position. You wear a series of these trays, each one slightly different, until your teeth are where they need to be.
How long do I wear aligners?
Depending on the patient’s individual needs and treatment plan, the length of treatment can vary.
How do I put on and take off aligners?
Putting on aligners is easy, just slide them over your teeth. To take them off, gently remove them, starting from the back of your mouth.
Are braces or aligners better?
Both have their pros and cons. Braces are fixed and might be better for complex issues. Aligners are removable and less noticeable, but it depends on what’s best for your teeth. Dr. Aaron Carroll or Dr. Michael Sutton will examine your case to determine the most efficient treatment plan for your teeth.
How often should I wear aligners?
We recommend that you wear them at least 22 hours a day. Remove them for eating, drinking (except water), brushing, and flossing. Keeping them on as much as possible will help ensure that your teeth move properly.
